Trooper is a 5-year-old German Shepherd Dog trained as a trailing dog in search and rescue. He and his partner, Jayn Bigler, are a certified trailing team with the North Amercian Police Work Dog Association. They are associate members of both NAPWDA and the Scott County (Mo.) Search and Rescue K9 Unit. Trooper has made many wonderful friends through the years. He has visited nursing homes and  schools and has helped to give lots of presentations about SAR and other subjects, such as responsible pet ownership and first aid and survival in hunter-education classes. Jayn & Trooper are awesome supporters of C.A.R.E. Bears.
